JIKI DESIGN aim to design something that moves people as well as the moment touched by a person who comes close to you, by facing the essence and accumulating diversity, from the creation of the core concept (existence value) that lies deep within to its design translated from its concept, and something uncertain such as physical sensations and mental fluctuations as well as the richness of time.
Our goal is to create a restaurant that thoroughly sublimates a comprehensive worldview and maximizes its appeal by designing details that are invisible to the eye.
We want to connect a new way of “Eating” design from the path we have taken so far to the future so that we can help the chefs pursuing gastronomy.

In addition to enhancing the functionality and design of architecture and spaces, we have in-depth knowledge, experience, and connections in cooking and its techniques, beverages such as wine and sake, and ceramic artists' vessels and cutlery. When opening a new business or relocating to a new location, it is common for chefs to visit real estate companies to acquire property on their own, and then consult with a design firm like us or a construction company. But he must decide by himself as the purposes of the real estate company are buying, selling, and brokering. And, while proceeding with interviews and planning, various problems can be caused frequently such as “Desired plans for kitchen, number of seats, etc. cannot be accommodated,” “Location does not fit the target” and “Budget is not enough due to regulatory or legal oversight”.

The design of restaurants is one of the touchpoint tools (customer contact points) that communicate with the chefs and strengths (concepts) of the products. Yu Kusaka
After graduating from university, he started his career at URBAN SPACE ARCHITECTS the design division of URBAN LIFE Co., Ltd, a condominium developer in Ashiya city. After retiring, he worked for a residential architectural design firm, a department store decorating company, and the store development and design department of a restaurant management company before becoming independent.
In 2024, he established JIKI DESIGN ASSOCIATES LTD., a design and branding firm specializing in restaurants, and became the representative director of the firm.
